I am Rev. Connie Simon, Unitarian Universalist Accredited Interim Minister in Training, currently serving as the Interim Minister at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis in California. My ministry is grounded in love, justice, hope, and the unwavering belief that we are all connected and we all carry the spark of the divine within us.

We must heal from the inside-out so we can do the outside-in work our world so desperately needs .
My Ministry
I came to ministry after a long career that included roles in government, non-profit management, small business and the corporate world. Little did I know that all those experiences were shaping and preparing me for the work I do now. As a transitional minister, I focus on helping congregations and faith communities through periods of change, such as the death or resignation of a beloved minister or the unexpected or conflicted ending of a ministerial relationship. My role is to help them process their loss, assess their new reality, and make plans for the future. It is soul-filling and rewarding work and brings me great joy.
My ministry also extends to advancement of Unitarian Universalism in the larger sense. I serve my faith as a Conflict Engagement Coach and through various roles with the Unitarian Universalist Association, the UU Ministers Association, the Unitarian Universalist Studies Network, and the Meadville Lombard Theological school.
Most importantly, I am caregiver to my nine-year old pandemic pup named “Rev. Dr. Janeetha Ridley” and “Aunt Connie” to my many nieces and nephews.
I am truly blessed.
